Doctor speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. Very well spoken and explains your condition clearly. Would recommend to friends and family.
In his profile says that he is an oncologist, when I get there and said that he is a Primary Care Doctor.
First time there, everyone was very helpful. I found a new doctor
Dr. Cheung was lovely today. Professional, nice, informative. I really liked him.
the whole process went very fast with my first checkup. he’s a very nice person, also everyone else that’s in the office as well. i was a bit nervous at first, but now i’m very comfortable with them on my first visit.
I found it to be nice. The wait was expected for a specialist. He listened to me and we discussed a plan.
Quick, efficient, helpful.
The receptionist and assistant were awesome . I was seen right away. Once with the doctor was rushed and not given any real information or options. Luckily my oncologist advised me to go elsewhere and I was able to receive care in time
Worst receptionist/assistants. Dr. Cheung is alright during the checkup.. but as a patient, most of the time it's the assistants who will deal with the us before and after a consultation is done. The assistants are the ones who bring the Doctor's name at stake and unfortunately, this clinic got one of the worst. If you are working in a clinic, for a Hematologist at that, how on earth can you not know what HbA1c is. CBC only takes a day at most to process. Took me 5 days to get my results (and I called daily). Now this rude Jenny is yelling at me because she does not know what Hemoglobin is in the paper she's holding. I asked to speak to the manhattan clinic that Dr. Cheung is at the, moment so I can have him explain to me. She rudely said "Okay, 2-1-2..." then she dropped the phone. I called right back and said, the lady dropped the phone on me but didn't give me the number. The liar, yelled and said she gave me the number. We had an argument about who dropping what before she angrily gave me the number..yelling. I do not have time to come back in the afternoon because I have a flight going abroad, but I don't mind compromising my flight to go see who that rude woman is. I feel sorry for Dr. Cheung. His staff is ruining his relationship with his clientelle.
It was Sunday so were several people waiting as I came in. Seems like it's first come first served, nobody asked if I made an appointment. I came 10 min before my appointment and got out in an hour after my appointment time. My question was just to get prescription for UTI so it didn't take long, William is very nice, asked few questions, gave me prescription and we were done. Didn't notice that language barrier is significant there. Considering that English is not my native language as well we still were good.
Very fast and courteous, helpful
Everyone was very nice in the office and they helped me quickly!
My visit was very informative and extremely helpful
Fantastic, friendly and attentive!
Most irresponsible and unprofessional doctor's office I've ever seen. I took the 30-minute trip to this office 3 times – the first time, they hadn't received the lab results my PCP sent, so there was nothing the doctor could do for me without any lab results. So I rescheduled for the following week. The second time, the receptionist confirmed that they HAD received my lab results this time, but the doctor was out for an emergency, and he'd be back in hour, and there were other patients ahead of me, so I can wait or reschedule for tomorrow. (It struck me as lazy that no one from the office bothered to call and let me know that the doctor is out. Again, I'm commuting 30 minutes every time I come here.) So I rescheduled for the next day. There's a different receptionist this time, and she cannot find any info about me. Not the forms I pre-filled out for check in, which the previous receptionist had printed and showed me that she had, and she can't find my lab results, because apparently "they were unclear, so they never printed it, and I should have brought in a copy." I am frustrated with them beyond words. I will not be coming back here a 4th time.
The visit was good. Nice staff. Seems to be a good, Sincere doctor. Ive only seen him once so far.
Fast and easy.. everything went smoothly and the was pretty friendly
language barrier issue with personnel. dr seemed im a rush, 5 min consultation.
Doctor was ok, nurse was friendly. Doctor seemed kind of rushed even though there was nobody else waiting in the office. I had a blood test and the receptionist told me to call back instead of scheduling an appointment. When i called back a week later, she didnt explain anything very clearly. She said i should schedule an appointment with the doctor if i wanted more details about the blood test, which is what i intended to do the week earlier, but was told to call back instead. Luckily, i got a copy of the results and am still trying to decide if it is worth it to go back to this doctor.
I do not recommend!!!
Skillful doctor and great office staff
Very informed Dr......
I was only one in waiting room. pharma rep joking w/ nurse front desk staff for 1 hr;.no one spoke to me. went in to be examined drug rep tries to stay in room w. me. violation of HIPPA law. this place joke unprofessional stay away. then doc gives me drug samples just left by pharma guy
Seemed rushed. He didnt actually lodge my script with the pharmacy. Also he was not in time.
Fantastic bedside manner. Did not rush me out and gave me the sense that he really cares. Office decor probably needs an update, but 10/10 would return. Doctor was a bit late, but understandably so for a Sunday appointment.
Dr. Cheung was amazing. He listened, he referred me to an ENT and made me feel much better about treatment.
Wonderful staff and the Best Doctor ever kind careing and very helpful.
Great performance & nice behavior
It was matter of fact.
Very helpful and straight to the point
Very understanding yet professional. Explained everything in detail. Was very factual but reassuring
Please dont go. Maybe the language barrier did it. But when he told me my ekg was "funny", asked me if had heart problems, in which I reply No, he then walks away. Umm, am I okay? Then no one called me with results of my blood, in which i called and they didn't understand me. Then told me I needed another test, again when were you going to call me?!. I won't go back ever.
Professional as well as friendly!
Dr. William Cheung was very professional, polite and knowledgeable. He took the time to go over my over health. Thank you.
He rushes all appointments. I never feel like I can discuss any health concerns. He pushes you out quickly.
Didn't spend time to listen. Just kept on alarming me about my condition. .. I was more nervous and not comforted.
He's very knowledgeable. He is also very funny. I trust this doctor :)
i have very good experience with dr william chung ,nice doctor.
My visit with William Cheung was very good.It was raining that day when i came to his office he first ask me if i needed anything to hot to drink because i was wet from the rain .Went in his office gave him all my files and he said talk to him about whats going on before i went in further he told me what was wrong.I started to cry but i believe him right away, then he continue to go through more of my files.Thank God for him he save my life, because I been going to a specialist no answer he then reccommed me to a rhemotoglist in which i supposed to be seeing.I can go on and on but i will stop.Thank you Dr William Cheung.May God continue to blessed you and your family.
He was very knowledgeable, right to the point, and very professional.
He didn't listen to me. I right away scheduled another appointment with another doctor.
Dr William Cheung and his staff were very attentive, office was clean, I went in with very low iron and without hesitation was given treatment immediately, I would recommend.
Very nice doctor. Very understanding
I had a really good experience, the doctor and other staff were very nice and the doctor was very knowleadgeable and took the time to explain things. Would definitely recommend!
This Doctor did not display any kind of kindness towards me, he was like rushing what ever I have to say like to get me out of his office he even have the nerve to tell me to go back to my previous hematologist for advise. The only thing he did good was changing my medication, other wise he was not compasionate at all.
The medical office is a bit shabby and needs to be remodeled badly. Also, there is a bit of a language barrier for English speaking patients, particularly with the female nurse and one of the front desk staff members.
Not as good as expected.
My visit with Dr.Cheung was a very positive one. He explained explicitly what he would be doing. I was nervous but, my fears were put to rest . I visited to get a quick fix but, plan to continue the service. I will recommend him to anyone. Everyone was very respectful and professional.
He was extremely efficient and knowledgable about different blood related issues. I would go see him again and his office hours are very convenient. His staff was nice.
He's a nice doctor, but like most he rushes with patients, doesn't allow much time for talking and education which would be helpful
I was very happy with Dr. Cheung. He was able to look at my blood work and immediately knew my condition.
Great doctor, highly recomend
Great receptionist The assistancewere great also Doctor listens and gives great feedback definitely would recommend to anyone
I came in for an allergy test, and it was a quick in and out procedure. There was a bit of a language barrier with the staff, but Dr. Cheung communicates well and it wasn't a problem at all. I've had issues with getting blood drawn in the past (not being able to find a vein), and the nurse found a vein quickly and got my blood drawn easily. As positive of an experience as getting blood drawn can be!
Very friendly staff and straight to the point
Quick and efficient, Dr. Cheung and his staff are great at getting you in and out in no time. He listens to your symptoms and gives you the 1 on 1 patient care I desire.
Very attentive and answered all my concerns
Very direct and thorough. I will definitely see him again in the future.
Having to visit Dr. William Cheung as a new patient for a much needed same-day appointment, I was very thankful for enlisting his expertise and attention. Opposite of taciturn, I found Dr. Cheung to be a top-notch Doctor with a warm and gregarious personality - polite, enthusiastic, caring and charismatic. Due to me having strict time constraints with an upcoming surgery, Dr. Cheung’s office and staff was very much accommodating and amenable to my schedule. The staff was outstanding, extremely professional yet congenial, uber proactive and most importantly, pleasant. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Cheung as a PCP.
I went in to get some blood work because i was worried about my T levels. They came rather low and he said its ok. You have facial hair so no need to go further on. Never went back and didn't bother going for exams he asked for.
Very professional and knowledgable!!
My visit was great. I went for a check up but I also was not feeling well. My body was aching and I had a fever. Dr. Cheung examined me and right away saw I had tonsillitis. It's funny cause everything but my throat was hurting. He prescribed some antibiotics and told me to get plenty of rest. He also advised that I come back in two weeks for my check up. I may make him my primary physician.
I would recommend this physician.
Very professional not expensive if you don't have insurance and his staff is very welcoming
Third visit with him. Bedside manner is appropriate. His staff was generally accommodating despite minor language barriers. Everything is streamlined but due to the volume of patients he sees, I can see how some things fall through the cracks such as follow up calls and appointments.
His diagnosis felt quick and uncaring. Drugs prescribed did not help the condition at all.
I usually hold off on going to the doctor's until I can't disregard my symptoms any longer. I went to Dr. Cheung for a hematology consultation, and he pretty much brushed off my concerns. My consultation lasted less than five minutes before he sent me on my way. I spent more time with the nurse who took my blood, which I never got results for.
Dr. Cheung and his staff were very friendly and helpful. Recommend.
The ladies in both of Dr. Cheung's office were very nice. Dr. Cheung was very easy to talk to. His patient care was also very good.
Dr. Cheung is a good physician. I was seen quickly within 10 minutes. He told me about my sickness and what I need to do to better my condition. I recommend him.
A good doctor
He us nice but he book appointment and don't show up on time
It was my first time visiting a doctor in years so I would've expected a longer visit to try and get more information out of me and try to know my background a little more. NOPE!! The whole session took about 8mins tops. He asked me if i was allergic to anything, I replied no. He then proceeds to tell me I need to exercise more even though I'm pretty sure he didn't receive the blood pressure and heart rate info from the nurse yet. After that, he prescribed some antibiotics for my sore throat and that was it. I wanted to get a full physical checkup but he said that they will do blood work the next time i come in. I appreciate the quickness but at the same time it also felt unnecessarily rushed when it was a slow day and only 1 other person was waiting after me.
Dr. Cheung was absolutely great, friendly, and efficient. The women at the front desk, however, was very unfriendly and unwelcoming, barely saying anything at all or making any eye contact. She made it very uncomfortable to walk in but everything else was great.
Punctual, fast and friendly.
I will probably not be back. I requested a full annual physical and the doctor just asked questions and talked over me as I answered.
He is very professional and knowledgeable. He is very possitive.
There was a mix up with my prescription at the pharmacy and Dr. Cheung called and straightened it right out.
Quick, short, easy. I went in for a general checkup and it was fine. He was a bit brief in his assessment but I was also pretty vague with what I wanted checkout. He clearly knows what he is talking about but if you don't bring up a problem, he may not look for it and brush right by it. He and his staff were friendly and very efficient throughout the whole process. Will be going back.
I think the office was a little surprised to see someone of my ethnic background. Once we got past, that he was able to provide me with medical services. He asked several questions to get a history and was pretty thorough. He shows interest in your concerns. The only thing I need to mention is that the door was left wide open during the consultation, patient confidentiality is very important.
Many posts say Dr Cheung was too quick, I say is is efficient. I arrived early, he took me early, and got down to business. I like that, and respect that. Thank you Dr Cheung.
He's my kind of dr. . He Listens and addresses your concerns with a kind and realistic heart.
For first time patient he was very unwelcoming, didn't even greet me, very rough, I didn't even get examed except for the medical assistance which she was nice she checked my blood pressure and weight the front desk was nice. He basically said I am not going to examin you, and he send me else where and didn't even say good bye to me, he referred me to a different doctor and scared me said I have disease with out re- do the blood work, or examin me or ask me any questions. There is another doctor female who works with him she was very rude too. I had an appt at 10:00am and I came at 9:45am everyone who came after me got to see the doctor before me.. What's the point of making appt then? He is very racists all his ASIANS patient went in before me! All over I am not happy and I won't go again! And I am deff not gonna use ZOC DOC no more this is the 3rd time I had horrible experience.. Googling doctors is way better.
I like him, not too much wait time, but he kind of rushes you out of the office
Excellent doctor and staff
The doctor was in a rush and didn't really take time to listen to me. His English and that of the staff is poor. I asked for a screen to check for vitamin deficiencies and I was told that they'll check for Vitamin B and D only because I specified those in particular but everything else is of little concern since "I don't really need that". I was told that symptoms were in my head and the door was left open for all and sunder to be privy to my conversation with the doctor while I explained my health issues. It's not worth the hike it takes to get there. I would not recc commend this office.
Dr. Cheung and his staff was very nice and informative about each assessment. I will definitely return.
Very profesional the nurse is really nice
Dr Willian Cheung is very professional and understanding and takes time to explain issues to me when I don't understand he is empathetic and caring
I came a little bit before my appointment time .. I didn't get seen till about 25 minutes after my appointment time.. my visit was kinda rushed .. I seen the doctor a total maybe about 5 and a half minutes .. the assistant took my blood now it is 4 days later I still have a big black and blue bruise.. she took my blood gave me a bandaid than handed me the gauze .. she was very nice .. however I don't believe I will be seeing this doctor often
I'm so happy to have Dr. Cheung as my primary care doctor. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a PCP.
Dr. is great. Matter of fact, with a sense of humor. But I do not understand the receptionist - at all.
His staff is not very English speaking so communicating is kind of difficult.
Questionable bathroom sanitation. Very nice nurse and expert receptionist. Spent more time with them than the doctor.
Good doctor , right to the point . Would definitely go to see him again .
I very good doctor. He is helping me make good decisions about my health.
Very professional. To the point. Friendly. His receptionist was great as well!
Might have worked better if I spoke Chinese
Office staff was wonderful. Dr. Chung was very informative and so kind. Excellent doctor. Would highly recommend!
William was friendly. Didn't see me for very long but answered my questions thoroughly. His receptionist's English wasn't great.
dr.william cheung is a great doctor i wish i wouldve found out about him years ago.
HE sees patients on time!!! A bit too fast. no examination..at least not hands on....not enough information for thorough evaluation. Told me not to come back would fax me my test results. i asked for a specific type of treatment and told me to get a very complicated surgery instead .He did not discuss other OPTIONS or ALTERNATIVES. ??? I cant vote thumbs up or down Bring your paperwork.he DOES read it unlike others. he decided to REPEAT blood work..i said why? "It changes and can pick up something missed". I AGREE with that...just not the method he picked as solution ?? for my problem...not a simple surgery...and not one even offered to me by anyone. Still being evaluated..
this is my first time to see Dr Cheung...They take me right away, no time wait which is great...the assistant, nurse, and Doctor are so nice..i think this is the best office i have ever been...
MY VISIT WENT WELL. I LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH HIM FOR A LONG TIME. HE PAID ATTENTION TO MY CONCERNS & LOOKS LIKE HE WILL BE THE ANSWER I WAS SEEKING.
The doctor was very attentive. His front desk reception was accommodating, very friendly and helpful.
It was among the most simple, quick and pleasant doctor appointments I have ever had. Dr. Cheung really does listen, and he takes your concerns seriously. I am very satisfied with this doctor, his office, and his staff.
I specifically sought out a physician for my elderly dad who doesn't have any outstanding medical issues, but has difficulty getting around with his general health declining. My wishes included a well-educated, cantonese-speaking, smart, one with good bedside manners, understood, appreciated the culture and in the general vicinity. Dr. Cheung met every wish and more. He reviewed Dad's entire medical history and communicated with both my father and I, in a very relevant way. Changed his meds but explained his rationale. Blood was easily drawn by the assistant (who was also professional and nice); when I commented others had trouble finding an artery; Cheung replied that it's not an issue once you understand Asian arteries are smaller in general, which I appreciated (as some Asian doctors don't know this!). He is professional, down-to-earth, accommodating (when he noticed my father's difficulty maneuvering around, he examined him in the reception area instead of moving him to another space), nice, normal (which is not the norm : ), confident, knowledgeable and overall what a relief. It's not easy to find a good doctor these days. I could easily go on but I can't emphasize enough how pleased we were! I wish I found him earlier.
I had researched Dr. Cheung before my appointment, and I was not disappointed. He encouraged my questions, and was forthright and professional. When I returned home, I also researched what he had told me, and I am very satisfied.
Very informative , thoughtful
Overall I was very impressed he was very concerned and listened which is very hard to find there days.
Second visit. I recommend him enthusiastically!
Really friendly knowledgeable doctor. I went in because I had STI symptoms and he was very helpful and not awkward at all.
Everything was very smooth. I was in and out of there.
Very professional, highly skilled, informative and thorough
Dr. Cheung is the most professional and down to earth person I've ever encountered. He's got the most genuine demeanor and he cares about his patients. The atmosphere is phenomenal and they make you feel at home. I would use his services again.
Dr. Cheung acted very professionally and diagnosed my ailment and provided me with the proper treatment.
