Dr. Farrell was born and raised in southwest suburban Chicago. He attended
John Carroll University, Loyola Medical School and completed an Orthopaedic
residency at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1985.
He joined Parkview Orthopedic Group and has been a practicing partner since 1985. His
interests include joint replacement surgery and arthroscopy. He has been a
past chairman of the Orthopaedic department at three hospitals and currently
is the chair of the Orthopaedic co-management section at Provena St. Joseph
Hospital in Joliet, Illinois. Dr Farrell is married to Renee Decoursey and
they have three children, Courtney, William(B.J.), and Jordan.
He is interested in pursuing an MBA to help him with group management as well as
hospital departmental development. A consulting role in the future remains a
possibility as well.
