Dr. William Broad became a doctor because he loves science in general, and human biology, in particular. He believes his role is to inform patients about what their symptoms mean – what diagnoses are possible – as well as what are the risks and benefits of each treatment option, so that they can arrive at a shared decision on what treatment is best for them. He feels that one of the privileges of being a family physician is that he gets to know multiple family members, sometimes from three generations.
Dr. Broad is married and has 2 grown children. In his spare time, he enjoys gardening with native plants, mountain biking and running. When he’s not reading a good book, he loves to watch Stanford football, men’s and women’s basketball, and men’s and women’s soccer teams.

Every visit with Dr. Broad is informative, supportive, encouraging, problem solving and honest. I appreciate his oversight so much, and I know I can always get answers and ideas for my treatment. Dr. Broad has been a lifesaver and an advocate. I highly recommend him!
