Dr. William Gilmer is a comforting, compassionate neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist treating patients in the Houston and greater Texas areas. His goal is to listen, understand his patients’ problems, and treat them conservatively, avoiding surgery whenever possible. He holds certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
In order to pursue his medical education, Dr. Gilmer attended Baylor College of Medicine. Here, he completed his medical degree, an internship, and a residency focused on the study of neurology. He has also completed a fellowship for clinical neurophysiology at Methodist Hospital. He is now involved with the Greater Houston Health Connect Board, as well as the Health Museum Board.
Patients visiting Dr. Gilmer can receive a full range of care. He performs electroencephalography, trigger-point injections, Botox, and electromyography. Neurology consultations are also available. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Gilmer enjoys traveling, wine, and cooking.
