Dr. William Warkentin has enjoyed practicing Internal Medicine in Colorado for more than 30 years. He completed his medical education at Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Utah, receiving honors at both institutions. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the medical association’s highest honor.
What drives Dr. Warkentin to continue practicing general Internal Medicine is his dedication to delivering the best, up-to-date, highest quality, and compassionate medical care to his patients from the Aurora and Parker areas every day.
Dr. Warkentin places a strong emphasis on patient education and preventive care, and he implements this medical philosophy at the new Rocky Vista Health Center in Parker on the campus of Rocky Vista University. He believes in the mutual bond between the patient and the physician to work together to get the best result possible for the patient. He also enjoys working with medical students and post-graduate internal medicine residents as an attending physician in the Rocky Vista Health Center. With the comprehensive team approach utilized at the Health Center, a successful clinical outcome is possible for all patients.
Dr. Warkentin enjoys all of the wonderful outdoor opportunities that Colorado has to offer with his wife Judi, their sons and their families, and his sweet dog Sadie.

This doctor told me one thing when I went into my appointment and that I would only have to come in every 4 months and each month I could just stop at the front desk for a refill until it's been 4 months. However, when I called for the second month's prescription, I was told I had to come in again, and I informed the receptionist that he said every 4 months. She called me back and told me he doesn't remember saying 4 months he said every 2. I told her, regardless if its 2 or 4, it's only been 1 month. Then she said oh yes he said every month actually, even though she just said 2. Either way, the staff and the doctor don't really know what they are doing.
