He seemed very knowledgeable and was very welcoming in treating my daughter. I would highly recommend him to friends and family members. My only observation was the overall time spent in the office was a bit lengthy.

Dr. William Yu was born in Miami, FL and raised in Puerto Rico where he learned Spanish and English. He got his BS at the University of Florida in 1996 and his Doctorate of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University.
His clinical rotations at NSU included; ocular disease, contact lenses, pediatrics, and low vision. He was the recipient of the Primary Care Clinician Award during his third and fourth year of school. He was the Student Government President and graduated with highest honors.
Dr. Yu is currently licensed to practice optometry in Florida. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association. His hobbies include sports and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

I am not satisfied with the contact lenses that I was fitted with.
My reading vision is worth and so is my distance vision.
My old lenses gave me better vision.

I was really happy with this office, and the doctor. I arrived a little before my appointment time but was seen right away. Dr. Yu was extremely professional yet really friendly, taking the time to get to know me. I didn't feel rushed out of the door. I really felt valued and that he had the time to discuss my needs and explain everything to me. Once I had the eye test, I was helped by Alex, to pick frames. He was also approachable, friendly and knowledgeable. No hard sell, just help with picking the right thing for me. Although I didn't purchase on the day, I will be back to purchase the glasses and for my yearly eye test. Happy to have found a great eye doctor for my family and me.
