Wilson K. Wallace, M.D. joined the staff of Florida Eye Institute in January of 2007. A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, he graduated from Davidson College and Wake Forest Medical School. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the Florida Society of Ophthalmology.
Post graduate training began with an internship at North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, North Carolina. He completed a residency in ophthalmology at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. A fellowship at Moorsfields Eye Hospital in London was completed in 1973. He was chief resident and instructor of ophthalmology at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute from 1973 – 1974.In the past, he has been actively involved in the clinical faculty of Bascom Palmer, finishing up as a Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology in 2001.
For the past 31 years, he has been actively practicing general ophthalmology in the Boca Raton area. He was been on staff at the Boca Raton Community Hospital since 1976. In the mid 1980’s, he served as Vice President and President of the hospital medical staff. Prior to moving to Boca Raton, Dr. Wallace lived in Vero Beach and practiced ophthalmology in association with the Doctor’s Clinic. Dr. Wallace and his wife, Karen, have now moved back to God’s country.
