More about Dr. Wynn Kao, MD
Dr. Wynn Kao is a board-certified dermatologist who received his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard Medical School. Following medical school and surgical internship, he completed his residency at the University of Puerto Rico, where he became fluent in Spanish and led an international team of researchers in clinical studies of melanoma. He has also published numerous articles on the molecular genetic mechanisms of skin cancer. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Kao is Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at George Washington University, and a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
With a wide range of interests and expertise in general and aesthetic dermatology, including laser, filler, Dysport, and Botox treatments, Dr. Kao is a firm believer in quality over quantity of treatment, a philosophy he shares with his associate, Dr. Luke Kao, M.D., Ph.D., the first neuroscientist to discover how Botox works, and how to use Botox safely for both neurologic and dermatologic applications.

I am very satisfied with the treatment by Dr. Wynn Kao. My skin problem got much better in a few days after I used the mechine he gave me. Also I follow the suggestions he provided and that was useful too.
Compare to the other dermatologist I had vistied before. I think Dr. Wynn Kao is more professional.

He really tries to tend to your needs. If he prescribes something to you he will even give you samples to take home with you. I hear he runs deals but haven't called yet to find out what they are. This was my first time with him was referred by my PCP, and I already recommended him to my mom for hair treatment and she already made an apt..... Highly recommend him he works WITH YOU

I went in crying and left feeling cared for and listened to. Dr. Kao explained everything carefully, and the medications prescribed started working almost immediately, much to my great relief. His nurse was also equally as caring and sympathetic.

He saw me early and was quite thorough. He addressed the main issue and a second problem. He called me soon after I left to tell me the results of the skin test. He did everything I could have wanted. I intend to make him my regular dermatologist.

I would recommend him to anyone seeking quick and sound advice regarding skin concerns. He is caring, understanding, professional and works fast and efficiently at resolving your issues. I will continue to use him for all my dermatology needs. His office space is also very modern, clean and professional looking. I would recommend he hire more people to cover him, as you can imagine, he is good and has a lot of patients. Wait time was longer than usual but overall excellent care!
