**Amid concerns about COVID-19, we would like our clients (current and new) to know that we are offering telehealth/video counseling and remain available to support you through these new challenges and with all areas of life where you need help.**
A Cuban-American born and raised in Miami, Florida, I am a bilingual Licensed Psychologist in the State of Texas who obtained my doctorate from the University of Indianapolis. I completed my post-doctoral fellowship at a neuropsychological private practice. Throughout my career, I have cultivated a range of professional experiences, including conducting individual and family therapy in outpatient and in-home settings with adolescents and adults, leading group therapy in a partial hospitalization program for adolescents, teaching psychology courses at a community college, and providing assessment services in a juvenile detention center, a residential center, and a community mental health agency.
I am currently available for individual therapy, in English or in Spanish, with adolescents and adults who are struggling with major depressive disorder, generalized and social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, relationship conflict, or family dynamics.
As an ally and a member of the LGBTQ community, I also work hard to provide clients who identify as LGBTQ a safe space to explore their concerns, which may range from identity and sexuality to intimacy and social connection. I am offering psychological evaluations to assess for intellectual or learning disabilities, ADHD, personality disorders, and substance use disorders. The purpose of these evaluations are to provide the client a blueprint for navigating obstacles and achieving long-term mental health goals.
