Yan Sun is a caring and attentive internist in Bedford, OH. Dr. Sun obtained her medical degree from the Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science & Technology. She also completed her PhD in gastroenterology at Union Hospital. Dr. Sun completed her residency in internal medicine at Texas Tech University, El Paso. She also earned a masters’ degree in internal medicine from Tongji Hospital.
Dr. Sun is a part of Rockside Internal Medicine and is affiliated with University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. She is also a member of the International Gastrointestinal Electrophysiology Society. Dr. Sun is trilingual in English, Chinese, and Spanish. She didn’t listen to me ! She kept speaking over me and in the end if i didn’t go to a different doctor i could have gotten a huge infection if i didn’t get immediate surgery! She gave me acne cream ! One look at it from me NEW doctor and he told me something isn’t right !

This was my 3 month follow up appointment with her. In my previous appointment, I was told I was anemic and was tested to find out why. They called and told me everything was great. I was still concerned about why I was anemic. I left a voicemail asking about it and was never called back.
At this appointment, I was told that I had an iron deficiency only after asking about the anemia. She asked me if a specialist I went to over 6 months ago prescribed an iron pill. I told her no and she said she was going to prescribe one. When I asked why she had not told me this at my appointment 3 months ago, she didn't give me a direct answer.
I feel she is a great person, but I was not happy with the way I was treated during these first 2 appointments. The same system used to see that I had iron deficiency during this last appt was the same information that was available during our first appointment. I feel I should have been told about this months ago.
To her credit, I received a nice card for the holiday season.

Delay in being seen was due to my insurance company sending out new cards (and I didn't have mine yet) - they were ready to see me right away. Office staff was excellent in helping sort this out. Everyone was very friendly. Have already recommended Dr. Sun to multiple coworkers.
