Dr. Young H. Choi is a board certified ophthalmologist who specializes in state-of-the-art cataract surgery, all-laser LASIK, intacs for keratoconus, and other highly specialized anterior segment surgeries. In 2009, he was voted one of America’s “Top Ophthalmologists”. He is at the cutting-edge of medical and surgical eye care and is well respected for his innovative treatment options.
Dr. Choi is a highly skilled, microscopic surgeon who performs advanced and intricate procedures such as pediatric implantable collamer lens (ICL) surgery. He was the first surgeon in the world to perform simultaneous, bilateral pediatric (ICL) surgery. He presented this landmark case at the 2006 Staar User Meeting at the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He was also the first surgeon in North America to perform a pediatric ICL surgery. Subsequently, he has shared his knowledge with other surgeons who have performed pediatric (ICL) surgery in the United States.
