Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Sax earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Neuroscience from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. From there, he went on to receive his doctorate at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, completing his residency at Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital of New York in Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Sax is academically active, having contributed to multiple publications in peer reviewed journals, online editorials, and nationally recognized poster symposiums. He has contributed to textbook chapters on subjects including bunion surgery and onychomycosis (nail fungus), and has special interests in minimally invasive techniques and sports medicine.
Having volunteered on the medical teams of multiple marathons and an avid runner himself, Dr. Sax knows the difficulties that athletes face and their desire to return to activity. By developing individualized treatment plans, Dr. Sax enables his patients to meet their goals and reach the best possible outcome.
When not treating patients, Dr. Sax enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, running outdoors, and throwing pottery.

I was having significant foot pain resulting from heavy running mileage. Dr. Sax verified that I didn't have a stress fracture or sprain, then gave me a few simple tips, notably some stretches to alleviate tendinitis. Within a few days I was feeling much better. I went into his office literally limping, and the next week I ran 70 miles. It's been a huge relief not to be derailed from my race training. Fantastic experience. I cannot recommend Dr. Sax more highly.

I had 4 visits to the podiatry office. I can't say enough about it, everyone who's working there are wonderful. Dr. Sax very proffecional and extremely patient. My Ins doesn't cover his visits, but it doesn't matter, I'm still going to this office. I feel much better because of Dr. Sax.

Dr. Sax is an excellent podiatrist. I have had some negative experiences with doctors in the past but never here. The staff is friendly, the office is clean and comfortable and I feel welcome. Dr. Sax took the time to explain things to me in plain English and I'm very grateful to have found the right podiatrist.
