His passion is treatment of acute myocardial infarction with stent, peripheral vascular disease treatment with endovascular intervention, pulmonary embolism intervention with catheter-based thrombolysis, and thrombectomy devices.
Dr. Hakim earned his medical degree from the School of Medicine, University of Tishreen. He completed his internship and residency at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center. Dr. Hakim then continued his training by completing Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology fellowships at Wayne State University/ Detroit Medical Center. Dr. Hakim’s clinical interest is focused on coronary artery disease outcomes, complex coronary interventions, mechanical circulatory support, large bore vascular access, pulmonary embolism, peripheral artery disease, and medical education.
