She is a wonderful doctor! I highly recommend going to see her, especially if you are looking for an LGBT-friendly doctor.
She's my favorite practitioner, and I have faith in her. She's smart, pleasant, and has always been terrific with me.

Wonderfully compassionate and communicative. Extremely conscious and respectful of LGBT-focused health and language.

She's fabulous. I'd recommend her to anyone who needs to see an NP. And her team at Beth Israel is top notch too.
she makes me feel super comfortable and answers all my questions. i have recommended her to my close friends
I think they do a Excellent job I always feel as if I'm the only patient even when the waiting room is full
One of the best medical providers I have ever seen. Knowledgable, compassionate, and non-judgmental.
Love Zil. Wish we could be best friends. Very kind and understanding and also very funny.
It was very non stressful. She put me at ease. The rest of the staff were nice as well.

Wonderful medical practitioner. Have recommended her to everyone I know.
very comprehensive, very considerate, made you feel really listened to.
Very thorough, I recommend for any young gay male in NYC
Zil is a great listener, compassionate, and goes above and beyond to help her patients. Her expertise in transgender and HIV health care is unparalleled.

Observant, thoughtful and straight forward. Zil is always generous with her time and makes sure to address all of my concerns before I leave the office. I am so grateful for her as a primary care provider and for her unique knowledge with transgender health care, insurance issues and care coordination. Also, thrilled with her work on the new Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery at Mount Sinai. NYC is lucky to have her talent.
Dr. Zil was so knowledgeable and patient with my (many) questions. I really felt like I was getting the most honest and comprehensive answers, which is very important to me.
Many primary care providers who claim transgender or other LGBT expertise in this city are only comfortable with doing an incredibly basic level of care. That is not the case with Zil. She is exceedingly knowledgeable, keeps up with current research, and is able to handle very complex health needs without batting an eye.
I went to Zil due to the many recommendations I received and from her ratings on ZocDoc. After 2 years, I have decided to establish care elsewhere. For the past 3 weeks, I have been calling the office to get a medication refilled, and have not heard back until last week when I asked to personally speak to Zil. Zil reported that she would call in my refill to the mail delivery pharmacy and call in a prescription at my local pharmacy to hold me over until the order was delivered. She called in a non-generic version of my medication, making the medication cost-prohibitive. I called the office several times after this for her to call the pharmacy to prescribe the generic version of my medication, and did not get a response. I e-mailed her twice as well. On top of this, the mail delivery pharmacy reported that Zil's handwriting was illegible, further delaying the shipment of my medication. I finally asked for her supervising MD to call me. Looking back, I should have stopped seeing Zil sooner. Once when the computer system was down, she stated "I'm sorry, I don't know who you are because I can't log into my computer. So what's up?" She would occasionally enter the room smelling of cigarettes, and would spend our appointments typing information into the computer while talking to me. It would seem that Zil has more patients than she can manage, and unfortunately her lack of attention to detail has negatively affected my health.
Zil is great! She's straightforward, open and very personable. Just what I like in a Nurse Practitioner. Highly recommend seeing her if you're LGBT.
She was great! It was unfortunate that the information that I fill out on ZocDoc doesn't come through to the office though, that meant filling out the questionnaire here and another 3 pages of duplicate information at their office. I haven't had this issue before so it struck me as strange, but thankfully everyone who took care of me was wonderful and I will definitely be coming back!

Amazing Amazing Amazing. Really great listener and makes you feel like your health conditions matter. What a great place. It is a bit far for me but so worth it.

Highly, highly recommend Zil Goldstein! I found her friendly/approachable demeanor, thorough patient treatment/assessment and knowledgeable medical guidance a refreshing departure from the tepid service I have received at other OBGYN offices. Though I am not a member of the LGBT community, I would recommend her to ANY patient looking for superior treatment.
Zil Goldstein is amazing. If you're LGBT and looking for sensitive medical care, you can't do better than her. I'm not a huge fan of the setup at Beth Israel; the office is a little chaotic when you enter in, and it manages to feel a little claustrophobic once you make it past the entryway, but all in all a pleasant experience.
She's great, quick, and easy to talk too.

She is GREAT!

Zil is awesome. I've never trusted a doctor more than her. She's friendly, respectful, and thorough. I'd highly recommend her.
Welcoming, kind and informative.
She provides comprehensive, sympathetic and affirming medical care for all genders. Zil is a fantastic resource for the TGNC community and should be further lauded her efforts improve health care options across the Mount Sinai-Beth Israel system.
Excellent visit from beginning to end - including registration, prep, provider visit and lab! I really appreciated her taking the time to listen and to provide care in a thoughtful and thorough manner. The visit was as perfect as could be!
Verified patient
Someone who yawns repeatedly - and doesn't even really try to hide it - doesn't really make me feel neither respected nor taken seriously. A short appointment with very little communication, sadly.
Verified patient
Excellent - someone who I trust to advise me on maintaining my health and someone who specializes in transgender primary care. Zil empowers her patients to take care of their own health on their terms and holds to harm reduction practices. I would recommend her to anyone.
loved her.
Very good, however when expressing concerns regarding medication choices, the recommendations were very narrow and discussions regarding past medication history were not taken into consideration. Maybe due to differing regulations from state to state, the suggestions were very one sided.
Zil was very friendly but professional, and I felt comfortable with her in an instant. She was thorough but didn't ask unnecessary questions. She was knowledgeable and communicative. Great provider. +1 for NPs!
Verified patient
Zil is so awesome! So welcoming, knowledgeable, and did everything she could to make me feel at ease when I let her know that I was anxious about the pelvic exam. I will definitely be seeing her regularly if I can.
Verified patient
Zil was great! She took my concern seriously, did a THOROUGH physical on me, and made sure to order extensive blood work to figure out where my weird rash was coming from. She is kind, and she handled my fatness very well. She said, "I ask all my patients this: How do you feel about your weight?" and when I said "Fine," that was the end of the conversation. I HIGHLY recommend her to any queer looking for a good primary care practitioner!
I was impressed with the facility and the doctor. Dr. Goldstein made me feel comfortable and the entire process was seamless. The office manager Arlene and the Blood technician were also the best I have seen. Five stars from start to finish and the entire visit was an hour. I can't think of anything that could have been improved.
Could not ask for any better appointment
She was amazing like amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! I really love her atitudes towards her patients. She really is an amazing listener. She actually wants to help. I even left my doctor from Montefiore for her. She is amazing.

Zil is knowledgeable and provides a very judgement-free environment for her patients. She takes it beyond the medical aspect and makes it a point to get to know more about you. I would definitely recommend her.
Zil was extremely knowledgeable and affirming. It was great to see a provider that understood not only how my work relates to my health, but also an LGBT friendly provider who picked up on my relationship and sex risks through our conversation without needing to ask for additional information or resort to unnecessary questioning. I went in with specific concerns and left feeling heard, validated, and much less anxious. I will definitely be returning to see her in the future.
She's very professional, and in my opinion the best option (I've looked at all of them) for what she does in the NY/NJ area, hands down.
Verified patient
Zil was really wonderful. Attentive to my needs, knowledgeable, and reassuring. One of the best healthcare experiences I've had.
She's great - really friendly but completely professional at the same time. Answered all of my questions with no problem. I'll be going back.
