Arielle Sokoll-Ward, LCSW, PLLC

Hi, I'm your new therapist! Sometimes it takes a third-party perspective to help navigate and process who we are, who we can be, and what we want out of life. I will provide a comfortable space to discuss the uncomfortable, and together, we will delve deep so you can find the healing you deserve. I believe that starting with a strength-based and relational approach and tailoring the sessions to your needs is important for building rapport and trust in the session. My style is both grief-informed and trauma-informed, and because therapy is not “one size fits all”, I will meet you where you are with authenticity, flexibility, humor, and compassion. I’m a Level Two Certified Complex Trauma Professional and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)—two approaches I find especially effective for addressing trauma, grief, and other emotional wounds. In addition to my clinical work, I’m the author of Adding the E: Perspectives of Grief Through Recounts, Letters, and Poetry, and had the honor of presenting a TEDx Talk in 2019 on building resilience through grief. I am here to listen, hold space, and process with you as you tell your story. I'm also a Texas board-approved Clinical Supervisor for LMSWs wanting to gain clinical hours towards their LCSW. My specialties include grief, loss, and bereavement, as well as trauma and PTSD. I also have extensive experience working with eating disorders, chronic illness, the LGBTQIA+ community, sexual violence, anxiety and depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I offer Telehealth sessions to clients living all over Texas and in-person sessions on Mondays and on Thursday mornings in downtown Austin. I provide a free consultation call if you would like to have one before booking a session, so I can learn more about why you're coming to therapy and your goals. I'll tell you more about how I work and we will see if it feels like a good fit!

Talking with Arielle felt natural, and I felt truly heard. She listens thoughtfully and understands what you’re saying without overcomplicating it. I was navigating grief at the time, and our session helped me process it in a way that felt grounded and supportive. I left feeling clearer, and I would confidently recommend her.

I've been working with Arielle for several months now and she's been incredibly helpful. She creates a genuinely safe and non-judgmental space where I feel comfortable opening up about difficult topics. What I appreciate most is her ability to ask the right questions that help me arrive at my own insights rather than just telling me what to do. She's perceptive, compassionate, and has a way of reframing things that helps me see situations from new angles I wouldn't have considered on my own. Arielle also strikes a great balance between being supportive and gently challenging me when I need it. She remembers details from previous sessions and builds on them, which shows she's really paying attention and invested in my progress. I'd highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, skilled therapist who truly cares about helping you grow.
