I looked forward to my appointment based on the positive reviews for the office and for Dr. Ong. Unfortunately she was curt and suggested extreme treatment for tension headaches including Lasik, cataract surgery (I don’t have cataracts) and medications (without first asking about any treatments I’ve already had for migraine and headache). She seemed frustrated that the medications she suggested I can’t tolerate or have been unsuccessful in the past.
As it happens, a new glasses prescription from a different doctor helped significantly.

This was my first visit to this group of providers. Everyone was both professional and friendly; the office and equipment are clean, modern and comfortable. I was there for a medical exam with Dr. Ong to see about cataract surgery and lens implants. The lens options were clearly explained, so once I've decided those, I'll return to Dr. Ong for the surgery.

Dr. Modak was great, she put my mind at ease about the eye issues I was having and had a great staff as well. I didn't feel rushed at all and I felt like everyone listened to me and what I had to say. Dr. Modak is extremely knowledgeable! She asked a lot of questions to determine the route cause of my vision issues and put together a plan to get me back on track (not regular aging eyes issues either). I have an upcoming appt with her to check-in on my progress, and can say I left the office feeling at ease and thankful that I found her on Zocdoc. There is a closer office to me in Gainesville, but I plan on coming back to the Fairfax office to see her for all my future appts.
