No one told me Dr.Moazam wouldn’t be in that day, and instead I was seen by an NP who not only wasn’t a physician, they didn’t even specialize in psychiatry. They couldn’t answer any of my questions, were at a loss as to how to adjust my meds, and suggested I follow up with the doctor a different day.
The NP I saw seemed like a good NP, but they couldn’t help me with the things I needed. They also were somewhat clueless about me being trans, and I had to explain my (admittedly unusual) HRT regimen several times. I’m sure they’d be great for primary care, but I scheduled a psychiatry appointment. I need a specialist and an expert. That wasn’t her.
Overall, it was a huge waste of time. I drove almost an hour to get there because Dr.Moazam is the only physician psychiatrist who takes Medicaid in a very long way. I can’t believe no one told me I wouldn’t even be able to see them.

I never met with the doctor. I was waiting to get in contact with him but another woman contacted me. I told her I needed medication for my diabetes. She asked me what they were. She said she would get the prescription ready. I asked for Janumet 1000 mg. And a Lantus insulin pen. When I got to the pharmacy I got Janumet that was only 500 mg and a vial of insulin not a pen. I was very disappointed. I paid for a doctor’s visit that I did not have.
