Marguerite Summer
I am a welcoming, interactive and genuine Psychologist that works with a range of adult individuals. I like to create a balance between working toward your goals and allowing for breathing room in therapy...and sometimes even a little humor. I will treat you with respect and acceptance. I integrate various therapeutic approaches (e.g. cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, mindfulness-based) and will work collaboratively with you in a way that suits your needs and helps you feel movement in your life in the short and long term.
PLEASE NOTE: I am considered an out-of-network provider. You may have out-of-network benefits through your insurance plan that cover a significant portion of the cost of therapy. The billing assistant for my practice will be happy to check your benefits and take care of claim submission, so you do not have to deal with any receipts or paperwork. If you need help understanding this, please contact me prior to booking.
I offer both in-person and virtual appointments. My office is located at 928 Broadway at 21st in Manhattan.
I earned my doctorate at Rutgers Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology and am licensed in New York. If you have any questions about me or what to expect from therapy, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please note, I am an out of network provider for all insurance panels. My rate is $275 for 45 minutes. I will submit claims to your insurance company for your reimbursement.
