I recently had my first appointment with Bunmi Adewunmi, DNP, NP, for a pap smear, and I cannot recommend her enough, especially for trauma survivors. As a two-time sexual assault survivor, I was understandably anxious about the appointment. I made sure to share my history and apprehensions, and Bunmi responded with an incredible level of care. She was thorough, vocal, and explained everything she was doing during the procedure before taking the next step, which put me completely at ease. Her genuine check-ins and support after the procedure made the experience as comfortable as possible. I am so grateful for her trauma-informed approach, and I truly felt seen and heard. If you’re looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and supportive gynecologist, I highly recommend Bunmi Adewunmi, DNP, NP.

I had an appointment scheduled for 4:00pm 4/8/25. The instructions I was given were to wait for the Dr. to contact me. I waited until 4:05, then called the number provided by the office. All lines were busy and only accepting voice mail. I left 4 messages trying to get through to let the Dr know I was waiting for her. This is completely unexceptionable. I expect an explanation and it had better be a good one.

I’m so grateful to have finally found a OBGYN I can trust. I have very bad anxiety seeing most doctors but the Pap smear is something I’ve avoided till now. And I’m almost 39 ?? She was so patient and kind. I wish I found her sooner.

Dr. Adewunmi was kind, knowledgeable, and made me feel very comfortable. The space is welcoming and did not feel intimidating. It was a one-on-one experience and felt like I was beginning to build a relationship with a primary provider. The way it should be.
