For example, through inspection of the outside signs such as complexion, tongue color, pulse picture and sensation of the chest one can know whether the function of internal organ or heart in governing the blood and vessel is normal.

About Shui-Fon?g?
Shui-Fong is the founder of Shui-Fong Chong Acupuncture, PLLC and a licensed acupuncturist
in the state of New York. He received his training at
Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City and graduated with a Master of Sc?ience in Acupuncture.
During his training, Shui-Fong completed internships at Beth Israel Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Integrative Oncology Department and Veteran’s Administration Hospital/Pain Management. He imagines the future of medicine to be wholly integrative and hopes to play a significant role in bringing the Eastern philosophy of physical, mental, and spiritual health into the framework of the modern healthcare system. While his practice welcomes all those in need, he is particularly interested in treating individuals dealing with chronic conditions including pain management, senior health care, stress and insomnia, and depressive illness.
Previously, Shui-Fong earned a Bachelor of Fine Art in graphic design from the City College of New York and Parson School of Design. After neglecting his health while working over a decade in the Design industry, he tried acupuncture and discovered a whole new approach to well being. The results of his experiences inspired lifestyle and career changes as well as the desire to help others recognize the healing benefits of this remarkable medicine.

I will be going back to Dr Chong ! He was excellent. I experienced relief after my first visit for lumbar back pain. I also have macular degeneration . There is improvement in my vision after my session with Dr Chong. Some of visual blind spots have gone away. He Lao shares his knowledge of pressure points that you can do yourself. Extremely pleased with results!

Dr. Chong is the best acupuncture provider ever. His style is holistic. Beyond the needling, he will evaluate your entire health/body and provide feedback on feeling better. My husband and I found this Doctor’s office, and we are so happy with his services and treatments. Dr. Chong is very knowledgeable and experienced. His time management is excellent, you will be treated exactly at your scheduled time spot, no lines at all!
My husband knows difference between good acupuncture doctor and not good because he had serious injury which regular doctors couldn’t treat, and only acupuncture did the miracle. So he extremely recommended Dr. Chong, so I’ve decided to try. I’m so thankful for my husband that he found this doctor and recommended him to me. My commute is 1+ hour from my place in NJ to his office in Fulton Street. I think that Dr. Chong is a pearl of a great worth, so I don’t want to lose an opportunity to be treated by him and I don’t care to commute from faraway.
It’s hard to explain but you will see the difference right away. He is doing amazing job! Other doctors usually treat you very fast, without attention to details, just like robots.

Dr Chong is a classic traditional trained acupuncturist who cares a lot about his patient . He applies the ancient Chinese medicinal treatment theory to treat his patient and the result are great as expected. ( acupuncture was applied in human body 2500 years ago , as documented in the ancient literature) I have gotten treatment from Dr Chong and the result are excellent .
