I am Dr. Barbara Rix, and I am Board Certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Washington state. I provide holistic care across the lifespan, focusing on medical weight management/weight loss, Bariatric pre-surgery psychiatric evaluations, Mental health medication management in depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I am available through Telehealth in WA, AK, AZ, and OR.
I completed my undergraduate studies and Doctorate in Nursing Practice-Family Nurse Practitioner from Pacific Lutheran University. I then went on to complete my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through the University of Cincinnati. I have also received my Certificate of Advanced Education from Obesity Medicine Association.
I believe that all patients should be treated with respect and compassion. I seek to provide balanced and holistic care to every patient, addressing the mind, body, and spirit.
Outside of work, I am a mother of two teenagers and assorted pets. I enjoy photography, travel, getting outside, and enjoying life with family and friends.
