Couldn’t stop talking about him to my husband! Doc and the attendant nurse were professional and friendly. They make me feel so comfortable, gave me a listening ear and ask important and necessary questions. First timer with a male OB-GYN let’s just say that I’ll be definitely coming back.

I was seen within about 15 minutes of my appointment time. I told the nurse/tech that took me back that I didn’t want to know my weight and she was very understanding, allowing me to get on the scale backwards and not mentioning the number. I didn’t have to wait long for the doctor to come in the room for the exam. She was very warm and welcoming. She explained everything clearly and made me feel as comfortable as you can during a vaginal exam. I will continue seeing her.

I had avoided the OBGYN like the plague due to a traumatic experience I had when I was 18. After extensive therapy, I decided that after 10 years, it was finally time to go. I'm unbelievably thankful for my decision to go to Susquehanna OBGYN & Nurse Midwifery of Advantia in Havre de Grace. I was nervous, but everyone I came into contact with was kind, patient, and comforting. Dr. Gotzmann made the entire process so easy. She chatted with me the entire time and let me know what she was doing. Honestly, it was a lot faster and easier than I thought it would be. I feel a lot better now that I know what to expect, and I feel safe with Dr. Gotzmann and the other staff. Thank you for your time and care!
PS: To anyone who may also be nervous for their first visit, I highly suggest treating yourself to ice cream after your appointment. ??
