Hello there, I am looking forward to working with you. My style is relaxed, raw, and old soul-oriented. I understand that my clients need to feel comfortable around me to open up about difficult topics. I also sprinkle humor into sessions when appropriate. I have found that being able to laugh with a therapist makes it easier to feel safe crying around them. My main goal is to create an atmosphere where clients can find clarity, confidence, and hope.
I work with clients ages 18 to 65 and couples. I treat ADHD, anxiety, maladaptive coping skills, depression, life transitions, obsessive-compulsive disorder, peer relationships, relationship issues, school issues, self-esteem problems, stress, divorce, infidelity, women’s issues, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, and LGBTQ issues. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, strengths-based approaches, solution-focused therapy, and psychodynamic/analytic approaches.
I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the State University of New York, Albany.
