I consider unconditional positive regard a key component of any therapeutic relationship. I believe that through unconditional positive regard as well as a safe and accepting environment, humans are capable of connecting to a miraculous source of internal strength and utilize that as a tool for resiliency through challenging times. My goal as a clinician is to walk alongside you on a journey of expanding consciousness, self-awareness, self-compassion and acceptance, toward confidently managing thoughts, emotions and inevitable life events.
In my work with children/adolescents my objective is to guide them as they navigate through various developmental stages, by helping them identify and regulate strong emotions, use coping skills, learn to utilize their voice to clearly communicate needs and work alongside parents using parent management strategies that further support children’s evolution outside of the therapeutic office.
I work with parents and clients who experience symptoms of ADHD, ODD, Emotional Dysregulation Disorder, Anxiety, Social Skills, Sibling Rivalry, Grief related to loss and/or parental divorce and Trauma.
My therapeutic approach includes Play Therapy,Parent/Child therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Existential therapy and Person Centered Therapy.
Another area of specialization is with young adults, and navigating the changes that accompany the transition into adulthood. I can help you build confidence in all areas from choosing the right career, to managing the feelings that come along with the responsibilities of adulthood.
I am in the office on Monday-Thursday and Saturdays.
