I would love to help you feel more present and connected in your life. As a therapist, I use trauma-informed, somatic, and attachment-focused approaches that get to the root sources of distress. I am trained in EMDR, a science-backed, mind-body approach that can speed up healing.
I offer therapy for both adults and children/teens (ages 2+) who are experiencing challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, life transitions, identity, sexuality, neurodivergence (e.g. ADHD, autism, sensory processing), and career.
I hold a MS in Counseling from California State University, Northridge and a BA in Leadership Studies from the University of Richmond.
In my clinical training, I provided psychotherapy to adults, teens, and couples at Counseling West, a community clinic. I also served as a therapist for children, families, and teachers within a charter elementary and middle school.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I taught visual art to ages 2–18 in a variety of school settings, including preschool, public, and independent schools. Before that, I worked in brand strategy for advertising agencies in New York and Los Angeles. In the space between these careers, I spent several years exploring some of the world’s wild places.
In a concentrated learning experience, I trained personally with Bessel van der Kolk, author of The Body Keeps the Score. I am trained in EMDR, Reflective Parenting Program (Level 1), and child-centered play therapy. I apply concepts from somatic, Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic, mindfulness, and family systems approaches.
