With many years of practice in Winston-Salem, NC and Pennsylvania, my work and training are informed by many talented, skilled clinicians. It includes a wide variety of treatment approaches and a deep appreciation of the interplay of mind-body-spirit in each person’s unique journey.
My hope is to welcome you in a way that is life-giving and accepting. My practice focuses on work with adults of all ages and backgrounds, both as individuals and couples. The contribution of your individual biology, mood, temperament, faith, family of origin, life experience, and trauma helps me to personalize a treatment approach designed to enrich and heal.
I find some issues are best addressed through short-term, goal-oriented counseling while others are better served through long-term counseling that deals with life traumas, its resulting damage, and assists in the healing and re-shaping needed for a healthier life. I use tools such as psychological assessments, EMDR, hypnosis, and medication referrals, to support the counseling we do together, working cooperatively with you to consider and decide what best addresses your needs. I was privileged to serve for many years as co-founder, Director of Counseling and Executive Director of Trinity Center, Inc, giving me a broad understanding of the Winston-Salem community that can provide additional insight to our work together.
