I have made so much improvement working with Bola. I am able to use my right arm/hand so much better now to do so many things. My swelling and pain has decreased so much. Bola is very commited to her patients and the process.

Bola Majekodunmi received her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health emphasis in Environment and Health from Northern Illinois University in 2006 and then later obtained her Masters of Science Degree of Occupational Therapy from Howard University in 2012.
Bola is a registered and licensed occupational Therapist practicing in the DC and Maryland area. Over the years, Bola had the opportunity to work in a wide variety of settings; community-based rehabilitation for adults and children with developmental disabilities and special needs, inpatient acute rehab hospital, skilled nursing facility, long term care setting, pediatric outpatient, school-based setting and use of Telehealth services as an alternative delivery model.
Bola has received advanced training in the following areas;, fall prevention, advanced cardiac training working with patients with LVADs, home modifications, aging in place. Bola has received the following certifications; Physical Agent Modalities to treat musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions, Interactive Metronome Certification as an additional assessment and treatment tool to use in measuring, tracking progress and pushing for greater gains in areas of motor skills, sensory processing disorders, cognition skills, functional and academic performance, an Aging in Place Specialist (CAPs) to provide consultation, comprehensive assessment, adequate recommendations, and specialized services to the growing needs of older adults, children and adults with disabilities to allow opportunity to age in place in an accessible, adaptable but yet aesthetically pleasing homes and a Level 1 certified handwriting without tears (HWT) specialist using the HWT curriculum, strategies and age appropriate multi-sensory materials to develop and or remediate handwriting skills
Outside of work, Bola enjoys spending time with her family and loved ones, watching movies, cooking, shopping, and learning new skills!

Bola is very thorough and professional. My daughter has made so much progress with her fine motor skills. She can now hold her crayons/pencils well and tie her shoe laces!
