Dr. Trupia is a graduate of Stony Brook University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program and completed his undergraduate studies in Exercise Physiology at Adelphi University. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist ® through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Dr. Trupia has treated patients of all ages in a variety of clinical areas including: post-operative, orthopedics, and sports medicine. In treating physical therapy patients and counseling sports performance clients, he draws upon current research, to incorporate scientifically validated methods into his daily practice. He practices an evidence-based, patient-centered approach to treatment, with a strong emphasis on therapeutic exercise, postural/core stability, functional manual therapy, and movement training.
Dr. Trupia has a passion for learning and continues to take additional coursework in orthopedic manual therapy. He is currently preparing to take the Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) Exam in March 2021. When away from Premier Performance Physical & Aquatic Therapy, he is a recreational powerlifter, die hard Yankees fan, and owner of 2 purebred English bulldogs.
