Britton is a LPC who studied counseling and art therapy. She has many years of experience working with children and families through social work, education and now counseling. She loves using art in therapy as a way to delve deeper into the challenges individuals face on a daily basis. Art can often bring another level of communication that so often can be hard to verbalize. Britton operates from a client-centered approach, meeting the client where they are and then creating an individualized treatment plan to target immediate challenges. She utilizes Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness in session to foster and support self-exploration and self-awareness. It is a priority to hold a safe space for this exploration and growth. In the past, she has worked with children in foster care, children who were battling terminal illness, children with special needs and children in the public school system.
