Dr. Sklarew was very attentive. He appears very smart and knowledgeable. My mom felt a bit better just talking to him. She was very depressed and didn't even have a usual shine in her eyes. When she left her eyes were shining! Finally in a long time!! I think she will finally have a chance to work through her issues. I am hopeful! God bless!

Dr. Sklarew was totally cool! I expected the consultation to go a little differently, but he listened to my problem and tried to make practical suggests, as well as asking about the psychoanalytic-related stuff. Very nice guy! I only wish he were closer to where I live, but I can't exactly fault him for that.

I work with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, guilt, loneliness, and emotional blocks. Therapy may be conducted with the individual, with couples, and families. I work with late adolescents and adults.
My approach is to explore underlying conflicts that create problematic issues within oneself as well as with others. We consider alternate approaches to difficult life situations in both supportive ways and insight-oriented psychotherapy. Sometimes it is helpful to relate childhood situations to present difficulties. I do not do appointments solely for monthly psychotropic drug evaluations, without accompanying psychotherapy.
In my many years of practice, I have worked a great deal with patients experiencing loss and complicated mourning.
