Corinne is a very empathetic and caring professional. She helped me to come to some incredibly helpful insights about ways in which I was not living my life to the fullest. I feel like I was able to learn a lot about myself and start to move on from long term issues I'd been coping with for, literally, decades.
She's very skilled and I would recommend her in a heartbeat if you need help coping with life's stresses, particularly in the area of substance abuse.

The decision to enter therapy is often fraught with uncertainty, and choosing the right therapist can feel overwhelming. I believe the most important element of successful treatment is a strong connection between the client and therapist. Oftentimes uncomfortable thoughts or feelings affect one's pursuit of joy and creativity, or old but familiar patterns resurface in ways that feel stagnating. Together, you and I can work to uncover some of the roadblocks that moved you to seek therapy.
Using a collaborative, curious and nonjudgmental approach, I assist my clients in overcoming obstacles that impede personal happiness to bring about greater self-awareness and interpersonal satisfaction. While my experience is varied, I am particularly drawn to the treatment of substance misuse and of family members and loved ones affected by drug and alcohol addiction.
I am a licensed clinical social worker and a professor of Social Work at Columbia University. I also hold a certificate of advanced training in psychodynamic psychotherapy from the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. However, I believe that each client has very individual needs, and I am happy to work from an eclectic approach, incorporating CBT, mindfulness and other therapeutic strategies.

Corinne is an excellent therapist who I strongly recommend. She's compassionate, insightful and really takes the time to understand. I feel that I've grown through our sessions by the way she safely challenges me.

I was able to make an appointment with Corinne right away. She is very warm and made me feel comfortable in our first session. I feel like she is empathetic and that she genuinely cares about me as her patient. She asks good questions but also listens and doesn't dominate the session with talking. Her office is easy to get to and she eased my nervousness by talking with me on the phone before we met.
