As a US Navy Veteran, Dr. Dan Hansen has studied, trained, and worked across the United States. Dan grew up competing in baseball, football, gymnastics, and wrestling. Now, as a proud father of three and Clinic Director at ProActive Physical Therapy Pasadena, Dan still goes above and beyond the call of duty.
Dan began his training in the Navy at the University of Health Sciences and worked in several military hospitals throughout his 4 years of service, after which he returned to his home state to attend Chicago Medical School and earn his BS in Physical Therapy. He eventually went on to receive his Doctor of Physical Therapy in Musculoskeletal Manual Therapy with a Pain Neuroscience Emphasis from the Olga Grimsby Institute. Dan’s educational goals and thirst for knowledge have continued to drive him as he received Certifications as an Orthopedic Manual Therapist, an Applied Functional Scientist and a Therapeutic Pain Specialist. Dan’s history as a Staff PT, Clinical Instructor and former Clinic Owner brings a level of experience and expertise to his current provision of patient care that is evident. Dan’s philosophy is to educate each one of his patients on their condition using a hands-on approach combined with a comprehensive exercise program. His goal is to improve their functional ability, quality of life, and most of all - their confidence!
