I see counseling as a process in which the client and I come to understand and trust one another, work as a team to explore and define the present problems in their life, develop future goals for an improved life and sense of growth, and work in a systematic fashion toward realizing the goals we set. I see the client-counselor relationship as one that is alive, collaborative, creative, and supportive of their needs at all times. I am passionate about utilizing mindfulness and meditation techniques during sessions, and I take a person-centered approach to counseling in all situations. To me, the person sitting in front of me and their immediate, present moment needs are what is most important to me.
