Hello, I am Deborah Thoennes. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am passionate about helping others to experience faith, hope, and joy in their lives. We are human, and knowing what is and isn't in our control is empowering.

I utilize Client-Centered, Trauma-Focused, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Faith-based approaches.
My focus
I typically work with children, adolescents, adults, and their families. I am comfortable treating a wide array of disorders, including Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar, Feeding and Eating, Obsessive-Compulsive, and Personality disorders.

In goal setting, we talk about areas of distress, identify unhealthy coping skills, and identify ways to alleviate those areas of distress through healthy coping skills.
My first session with you
In the first session, I love getting to know you. You will talk about anything you want to, we will identify what would be best for future sessions, and identify healthy coping skills to use in the meantime.
