I'm Dr. Denise Garcia. Firstly, I'd like to say thank you for taking the first steps on your healing journey with me. I know life's incredibly complex, and taking this first step is a big deal.
Do you feel overwhelmed with your young child? Do you feel like the information on parenting needs to be more consistent and easier to follow? Is your child having frequent meltdowns, tantrums, cries easily, or appears discontent most of the time?
I help parents feel empowered and knowledgeable about their parenting journey. Feel confident in the way you are raising your child. My deep understanding of child development, child psychology, societal constructs, trauma, and sensory-process integration informs my unique approach to therapy for all ages and stages in life. I will help you explore themes of your childhood that may be hindering growth. I use evidence-based strategies and coping tools to improve your mental wellness as we navigate through this process together.
I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Oaks College and a PsyD in Educational Psychology from Alliant International University, which enriches my ability to support you and your family with comprehensive, informed care.
