Hello and welcome to my practice! As a Psychotherapist and Life Coach with over 30 years of experience, I am passionate about helping others rise above and better manage their life challenges, both past and present. With a PhD in Human Development and Counseling from Clark Atlanta University, along with extensive training and experience, I understand the best ways to address each client’s needs in an effective and unique manner. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach is eclectic, often utilizing cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, positive psychology, acceptance and commitment, cultural sensitivity, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapies. I tailor our sessions—including the dialogue and treatment plan—to meet your unique circumstances. My goal is to help you recognize your underlying problems, fully realize your strengths, and adjust to a new, healthier lifestyle while ultimately becoming your better self.
I also had the pleasure of being licensed as a psychologist in Beijing, China, where I worked with expats from around the globe during my years abroad. I have successfully treated depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship and family issues, eating disorders, career-related challenges, and expat concerns. I’ve also helped those who have experienced emotional trauma and other forms of abuse. I invite you not just to work on “getting better” but to work on “getting well.”
