I chose to be a therapist because I believe therapy can serve as a vehicle in your healing journey and a tool for growth. I love the process of working with people as they courageously dive into themselves and the things that hurt them so they can gain understanding of self and move towards healing and growth. My goal in therapy is to walk with you as you try to understand and make sense of how your past impact your future or how your environment, impact your behaviors, beliefs and well being.
I have experience with various treatment models (i.e. goal oriented), psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and art therapy with young children.
I have a Bachelors degree in Family and Consumer Science and Child Development & Family Studies, from California State University, Long Beach. I received a Master’s degree in Social Work from California State University, San Jose and am an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW). I have experience working with Children and family’s across a broad range of life stages and love it.
