I have been seeing Elliott for about a year and a half. During that time, I have transformed from someone who starts the day worrying about what horrible thing might happen to someone who wakes up feeling clear, positive, and confident in who I am.
Before, my days were filled with apprehension. I struggled to navigate life in ways that were conducive to running a business, driving a car, or even living peacefully with others. Elliott has been kind, understanding, and unwavering in his support. Yes, I know those are attributes of a Boy Scout—he may very well be one, I don't know. But beyond that, he possesses not just book knowledge, but real-life experience that allows him to truly help me process life’s challenges.
Today, I see myself differently. I like who I am. And because I like who I am, I now have the capacity to truly love others. My house, my job, my family, and my friends remain the same, but I am a new person.
