Many times I have difficulty drawing conclusions and iterating feelings. Fatemeh does a wonderful job of bringing those thoughts to the surface and drawing out the feelings that linger within. I typically find her sessions powerful and leaving me with a desire to progress and return soon.

My name is Fatemeh Farahan, and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in California. My approach to mental health comes from looking at all aspects of the self- physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. I have experience in treating a variety of problems including addictions, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, career counseling and relationship issues as well as many others.
I work with each client to better understand and resolve challenges in their lives, whether they require short-term intervention or longer-term treatment. By utilizing complementary therapy approaches and techniques along with a positive alliance with each client, I work to transform and rework significant emotional experiences and family issues that may be holding clients back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

I love the feeling I have whenever I leave Fatemeh's office. Not only is she a great listener, I feel like she authentically cares about me and my life. No matter what is going on for me, and I have been through a lot, I am never disappointed by the time we share together. Through the perfect combination of empathetic listening, intuitive guidance and authentic presence in the session, Fatemeh helps me stay true to my values, and make wise choices and have more meaningful relationships. In fact due to my sessions with Fatemeh, I feel I have come alive. Instead of using things like food, obsessive thinking and other counterproductive coping mechanisms to avoid dealing dealing with my issues, I am able to face them knowing Fatemeh is on me side. I feel blessed that I have the opportunity to turn to her when things get tough
