I loved the visit and I loved Greg! He knew exactly what was wrong and pin-pointed what steps were needed to correct my problem. Very sad that he is moving out of the country, but I am glad he was able to help me and guide someone else to help me.
Greg is great at dance / exercise rehab and strength building. He is genuinely interested in the minutiae of your problem and excited to help. Plus he's a nice guy!

More about Gregory Taylor, PT

Gregory P. Taylor was born in San Francisco, raised in Oregon, and has worked professionally in New York City for almost 30 years. He started as a professional ballet dancer with the Joffrey Ballet and then as a physical therapist specializing in Dance Medicine and Rehabilitation. Gregory first earned his bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the State University of New York at Buffalo and then went straight to work as one of the treating therapists for the New York City Ballet company. After 10 years in dance medicine, Gregory returned to school and achieved his doctorate in physical therapy from Utica College, expanding his knowledge base and gaining an interest in academia. Dr. Taylor continues to work with pre-professional dancers of all genres and holds injury prevention and rehabilitation workshops where the need arises. His journey has included being the therapist for the Pennsylvania Ballet, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Ballet Frankfurt in Germany, dozens of Broadway shows, and even travelling the country as the therapist for The Lion King musical. His interest in academia led him to be a published researcher while serving as the Director of Physical Therapy and Clinical Instructor at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine for many years. There, he gained great satisfaction in educating future doctors on the benefits and importance of prescribing physical therapy for their patients. Gregory truly loves the profession of physical therapy because of the wide array of patient populations he has seen benefit from what we have to offer. He has given lectures on Fall Risk Reduction and Cultural Diversity in Clinical Settings and has experience in Pilates training for rehabilitation. Although he hung up his ballet tights many years ago, Gregory has recently taken up salsa dancing and can be found enjoying and supporting dance performances throughout the city. However, the biggest passion of his life is being an integral part of raising his only child.

GREGORY IS *AMAZING!!!*
Verified patient
Amazing experience! Would absolutely recommend!
Verified patient
Greg takes the time to thoroughly examine your problem area(s) and how it’s affecting your mobility before he recommends exercises and implements a plan. I’ve had other PTs read the referral, poke around and begin a recovery plan without identifying the problem and the ancillary ones as well. He’s always in a great mood and in just a few weeks, I’ve noticed a major difference.

Dr. Taylor is a great physical therapist. I've had many and he is at or near the top! He has a keen eye for compensatory movements and has really worked with me to correct my gait issues. I highly recommend him.
Verified patient
Dr. Greg is the best!!!! I can't walk quite right - yet! But Dr. Greg is my go-to Physical Therapists for gait issues. He is attentive, caring, warm and has a superb sense of anatomy, a keen eye (perhaps since he was a professional ballet dancer?) So he quickly sees my compensation patterns. He also has great hands for tackling scar tissue and "stuck" muscles. It's nice to have PT at a place which isn't a factory and with someone who most definitely doesn't just go through the motions. I highly recommend Dr. Greg!!
Verified patient
He was very kind and respectful. He was also super informative about his treatment recommendations. Loved his enthusiasm and encouragement! I'm definitely going to stick with Dr. Taylor. Highly recommended.
Verified patient
Dr T. is friendly and personable and gives me a full hour of hands-on treatment every time I go. I ask a million questions but he's always happy to talk about his work. I can't possibly recommend this team highly enough for anyone in the performing arts (or any field!) who seeks to improve their life and performance by not only getting rid of pain but improving the body's ability to work healthily and sustainably.
