About Nicole Surach
Nicole Surach received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Miami. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, graduating summa cum laude. Prior to joining SPEAR, Nicole worked in New Jersey specializing in orthopedics, sports medicine, and outpatient neurological rehab.
During her time in graduate school, Nicole had unique clinical internships in orthopedics and sports medicine. At Nova Southeastern Sports medicine clinic, she treated collegiate athletes and also attended classes with Osteopathic medical students to learn advanced manual therapy techniques. She gained valuable experience in pediatric orthopedics while interning at world-renowned St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
Nicole is committed to her patient’s success. She strives to not only have her patients make full recoveries, but also to prevent future injuries. She is certified in Functional Movement System’s Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and is currently in training to become a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT).
Outside of the clinic, Nicole maintains an active lifestyle through spinning, Pilates, and yoga. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys traveling, spending time with her friends and family, and exploring the city with her two dogs.

I had a wonderful first visit with Nicole. The office is clean and luminous. The whole environment was very calm and welcoming, I felt supported and also able to focus on my exercises. Nicole has an excellent bedside manner and explained everything thoroughly and also listened to my needs relating to ongoing knee and joint pain. As someone who is very active (running, yoga) I was interested to see how PT could help me and though Nicole's plan for me moving forward will be very effective.

As someone with a long history of injury, I can confidently say that Nicole is by far the best physical therapist I've had. She is constantly attentive and pushes you just the right amount. Our sessions are challenging and she always introduces new management and exercises. I cannot recommend her any higher.

Nicole is an amazing Physical Therapist. She is super attentive, caring, personable, and knowledgeable. She always remembers everything about your condition, treatment, and exercises which helps the patient progress quickly. She is also so friendly and makes physical therapy fun. I have had a lot of physical therapists in the past and Nicole is by far the best of them all! I couldn't recommend anyone higher-you are in the best hands with Nicole!

This is first experience with physical therapy. I came to SPEAR to treat my knee, which I was having problems with due to running. Nicole assessed my symptoms and put me on a strengthening and stretching regimen 2x a week in the office, and gave me exercises to do at home. After only 6 weeks of treatment I am nearly pain-free and just completed a 10-mile race! Nicole is patient and knowledgable, and makes coming to PT a really lovely experience! I would recommend her to anyone having a similar issue.

Physical Therapy is a journey and it's so important to find the right person to spend the next several months alongside you. For me, Nicole has been that person and I am so grateful. Nicole is well informed and highly skilled. She pays great attention to a patient's care and recovery and is as determined as you are to meet your goals. Would not hesitate to recommend her!
