My fee for the initial evaluation is $300 and $250 for each 45 minute sessions thereafter.
Having trained at Harvard, MIT, and the Massachusetts Institute of Psychoanalysis in psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, and psychoanalysis, and with over 40 year of experience in my own practice in Harvard Square, I appreciate that each person must be taken as an individual, with his/her own background, experience, personality, needs, and ways of seeing and interacting with the world. I work with each individual to evaluate the situation and make recommendations as to what may best increase his/her ability to make better life decisions which will enrich the quality and satisfaction of life. This may include the use of any or several of the above modalities. Medications are only prescribed when appropriate and for people I am seeing in psychotherapy. My experience in helping people towards better lives is further enhanced by surviving and thriving in over 50 years of marriage and raising a poet son and social activist daughter. My style and leanings can best be seen in my book "Semrad: The Heart of a Therapist".
