More about Judi Siravo, OTR/L, CHT
I enjoy working with all types of hand conditions including acute, chronic, post-operative, non-operative, RA, OA, and congenital abnormalities. A good portion of my experience has been treating heavy trauma patients such as tendon lacerations, nerve lacerations, tendon and nerve transfers, and amputations. I have also taught therapy students in Central America via Health Volunteers Overseas. With my art background, I find fabricating custom dynamic and static splints gratifying.
Other than hands, I have a great passion for animals. My sister and I run a nonprofit animal sanctuary- "Love and Let Live" on our 5-acre property here in Tucson.
In 1989 I graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. with a BS in Occupational Therapy. Prior to Allied Health, I had a minor in Art and Psychology. I completed an extra internship in hands upon graduation from OT school and have been specializing in hands since graduation in 1989. I have been board certified as a Hand Therapist since 1995.
