Hi, I’m Julia. I’m a licensed clinical social worker who believes that change most often results from the work done together. I studied and trained at UT Austin and have worked over the past 5 years with children, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and parent-child interaction therapy.
My approach
I will implement evidence-based interventions where appropriate, based on the collaborative goals established with you. I commonly utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and parent-child interaction therapy depending on the goals discussed together.
My focus
My clients often recognize the importance of uncovering patterns in their own lives; moving toward healing. While it can seem easier to avoid or suppress the struggles around us, my clients find value in moving through these struggles, walking towards abundant life instead of simply “existing.” I specialize in anxiety, depression, life transitions, and trauma.
My communication style
I believe that in counseling, the relationship is foundational. I strive to create a safe space for you to explore your values and goals toward living a more meaningful life. I will help guide you and will utilize evidence-based interventions to support you in this. Working with me will be collaborative and genuine. My hope for you is that you will experience freedom to live more fully in the life that you are living.
