My name is Kathryn LaRoe, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated from the University of Southern California with a Masters in Social Work with an emphasis on Military Mental Health. I specialize in treating PTSD/Trauma, mood disorders, attachment and relationship concerns, chronic pain, and addiction. Additionally, I provide integrative therapy to individuals who have had Ketamine therapy or other psychedelic experiences to help them understand how to implement the lessons learned into their daily life for long-lasting benefit.
In order to aid in the healing of trauma, I provide guidance utilizing both a top-down (Cognitive) and bottom-up (Somatic) approach. Approaches in treatment that I utilize include DBT, CPT, Seeking Safety, ACT, mindfulness, meditation, breathwork, and healing touch/energy balancing techniques. I utilize modalities that incorporate the mind, body, and soul.
It is my belief that radical transformation occurs by tending to the needs of the mind in the ways we think, the body in the ways we release physical tensions as a result of trauma, and the soul in the way we connect to self/others/and higher purpose.
