I am 73. Since 2011 I have had 13 major surgeries. Katie is the best therapist I have ever had. I have been to Physical therapy at least 7 times all over the city. I was reluctant to go. After I met Katie and we worked together. I knew she was very special.
An assigned consistent therapist who can measure your progress. An extremely well run office. The appointments are kept exactly to the hour! A Happy office with happy and fun therapists.

Katie Licata, MS, OTR/L, Astym Katie graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a minor in Biology. After graduation, she worked as a Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in the Geriatric Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry Department. While there, she fell in love with Occupational Therapy and began exploring the different settings it has to offer. She was offered a position at Hand Therapy NYC as the Patient Care Coordinator and there she developed an interest in the upper extremity. She then received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University, completing clinical rotations at New York Presbyterian and Project Renewal. Katie has achieved her Astym Certification and is working towards her CHT designation. Katie is passionate about providing comprehensive and individualized care to her clients and is excited to be a part of the Hand Therapy NYC team. *Please speak with our office within 24 hours of your booking to confirm your appointment (Unfortunately, there is a delay in the schedule integrating with our EMR)

Its been 4 months since my elbow surgery, and only my initial evaluation and one therapy session with Katie, this is the first time since my accident that I have really felt like my arm will one day be normal again. This hand therapy group was recommended to me by a trusted physical therapist. I've been working with Katie for the last month or so and have noticed a marked improvement.
