More about Katie Kernoschak, PT, DPT
Katelyn earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Long Island University Brooklyn. Prior to pursuing physical therapy, she attended Temple University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and became a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Throughout her time at LIU Brooklyn, Katelyn worked with a variety of patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings in the New York City area. Her experiences include outpatient sports and orthopedics, cardiopulmonary rehab, chronic pain, and neurological conditions. Her clinical interests include orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, and dance medicine. Katelyn’s passion for physical therapy stems from her background in dance, where her experience in performing and teaching for over 20 years has shown her the importance of optimizing movements in order to enable patients to achieve their functional goals.
Outside of the clinic, Katelyn maintains an active lifestyle through weightlifting, Pilates, and taking dance classes. She also enjoys going to concerts, relaxing at the beach, exploring the city, and spending time with friends.
