I’m Laroneje (Lair-a-knee), a Licensed Professional Counselor who really enjoys getting to know my clients and deepening the therapeutic relationship as we work together to identify what’s causing your concerns and finding effective tools and solutions to address them. I have been a therapist for five years and have worked with people of all ages, in colleges, private practice, EAP and non-profit settings. I consider myself to be fun and welcoming; you can guarantee that we’re going to laugh and find humor in what you’re going through. I’ve been known to be direct and value accountability, so you can expect to be called out on unhelpful behaviors that don’t align with your wellbeing or goals. My clients appreciate this style as it helps them grow and change for the better, and they know that I’m not here to waste their time. My specialties are anxiety disorders, depression, and life transitions. My therapeutic approach is holistic, using interventions from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy primarily. My goal as a therapist is to make therapy more accessible and normalized for historically marginalized communities.
