I am an experienced independently licensed counselor. I offer a non-judgmental safe space for you to sort through the various difficulties you may be experiencing and help you create happiness and order in each area of your life. What you value, I will value and meet you where you are to create relaxing sessions focused on self-improvement.
My approach
The most common theoretical approaches I use in my work are Rogerian; person-centered, motivational interviewing, and holistic healing.
My focus
I typically work with anyone who is looking to find ways to navigate the difficulties of life and have a want for increased happiness and peace in their day-to-day life.
My communication style
Working with me, I will provide a very relaxed environment. I am focused solely on the client, demonstrating unconditional positive regard. The session is client-centered so there will not be a lot of confrontation but rather exploration of what changes the client wants to accomplish to achieve optimal mental health.
My journey to mental healthcare
I understand and have experienced the difficulties life can throw at us on a daily basis. It can be difficult to manage all the expectations we can sometimes place on ourselves. I am here to help others learn to love and accept themselves. I am driven to be a therapist because of the positive impacts I have witnessed therapy having on individuals. It is rewarding to watch those who once felt lost, alone, stressed, and hopeless to find hope and gratitude in daily life.
My goals for you
Goals are set by the client and for the client. I will assist clients in developing insight toward what specific goals they are looking to achieve and review the progress toward those goals with the client regularly.
My first session with you
The first session is very laid back. I ask questions about who you are as a person, what you value, and what specific problems you wish to solve during your time with me.
