People come to therapy for a variety of reasons: recognizing the need to make a change in their lives, facing changes difficult to accept, learning how to effectively communicate, or the need for an unbiased perspective. I get that it can be difficult to reach out for help regarding sensitive issues. I respect the courage it takes to set the intention for change & the effort involved in finding someone you feel comfortable with & can trust. I love this field of study & care about doing my best for my clients. My work with couples, individuals, teens & families utilizes techniques garnered from 21 years of study and practice.
I specialize in issues related to relationships, attachment, abuse, loss, emotional regulation, anxiety, ADHD, difficult family life & life transitions. I use many different modalities, tailoring therapy to the needs of the individual since each client is unique and has their own history, world views, temperament, patterns of interaction, dreams and goals.
I care about my clients. I’m passionate about helping people gain an understanding of themselves & others, learning skills, and achieving a sense of empowerment. My style is non-judgmental, unbiased & flexible allowing clients to progress at the rate best for them.
